New in beauty
I haven’t been too frivolous in the beauty department this month, which is shocking considering I actually got to step inside a physical Sephora! I very nearly splurged on the extra large Marc Jacobs bronzer (linked here) however when showing my partner in crime he managed to drop & smash the last one out on the shop floor and so we backed away slowly! Obviously it wasn’t meant to be..
What I am going to discuss today though are 2/3 new absolute essentials.
Starting off with SOL de Janiero ‘Brazilian bum bum cream’.
Not only is the name of this body cream actually perfect, it smells absolutely divine too (coconut-y and rich)! After seeing my insta-girl crush Sammi Jefcoate recommend, I decided to give it a go. I suffer with dry skin, and so in the summer I really do need a good moisturiser that’s going to last all day, especially with tattoos. This stuff sinks straight in (no sticky-ness) and helps to smoothen my skin. I’ve been using this daily on my legs and arms and genuinely do notice the difference in my skins texture. I will definitely be repurchasing this product!
Potenially the softest make up brush I have ever felt! I discovered this brand via the Marks and Spencer beauty dept. and also picked up the foundation to try out too (TBC…)! I’ve previously been pretty lazy and not used a foundation brush to apply, but I was curious as to the shape and texture of this PUR Beauty one, and haven’t been disappointed! The finish of my make-up looks so much more flawless!
I really like the packaging of this mascara, and I definitely wouldn’t describe it as BAD, however it doesn’t leave me with the full and thick lashes look I’m trying to achieve. This ones fine for days at work or casual weekends, but I’d still opt for my MAC extreme dimension, or Too Faced ‘Better than Sex’. I just found the name of this mascara a little misleading and probably wouldn’t be purchasing again! Just my personal preference though, not a bad product – just not my preference!
