NicoPanda at LFW SS19
I was so excited to attend the NicoPanda show this London Fashion Week SS19. I am a huge fan of founder Nicola Formichetti – particularly the Mugler monochrome, dark, futuristic goth era. I don’t know where he finds the time or the constant new creativity – as well as successful designer he’s also a stylist (for Lady Gaga no less)!, fashion director, creative director..
I listened to a podcast interview with him recently where he talks about how he got to where he is today, listen here if you want to know more about Nicola Formichetti: Linked Here.
The SS19 collection was set to the sound of spice girls and basement jaxx: think neon, flatforms and space cowboy.. if you can! Completely eccentric and very rave friendly – these garments are designed to make a statement and have a good time in.
Don’t worry guys I’m not about to start wearing colour, I’m not going to start staying up past 10pm in see through fishnet dresses… however I can totally appreciate the feeling these garments give. The atmosphere under the huge disco ball and the mash up of 90’s classics felt like we were out out, at 12 lunchtime…
Neon pink puffer layered over oversized hoodie, bodysuit & flatforms.
Velvet Anarchy playsuit + plastic pink cowboy hat.
These girls reminded me of my early 20’s.. dying my hair a new colour every month and OTT makeup.
Overall a whole lot of fun and a reminder that life (and fashion)! doesn’t need to be so serious!
